Papa John’s Pizza Sued by EEOC for Disability Discrimination

Papa John’s Pizza faces a disability lawsuit after allegedly denying a blind employee’s request to keep his service dog on site, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Tuesday.

A blind worker was allegedly hired at an Athens, Ga., location, but was unable to start work until his accommodation request to bring his service dog was approved by the pizza chain. The company allegedly denied the request and fired the worker before he officially began work, the EEOC said.
