A Texas Papa John’s franchisee was hit with a collective action in federal court by current and former delivery drivers, who say the company wrongly withheld their overtime and minimum wage pay and required drivers to pay job-related expenses.
Hourly-paid delivery driver Robert Willich and former hourly driver Jennifer Moran sued Star Papa LP, which operates multiple Papa John’s franchises in Texas, for alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Star Papa allegedly paid drivers less than minimum wage for hours worked while making deliveries.
