Papa John’s Franchisee Fails to Return Worker Row to Arbitration

A Papa John’s franchisee can’t make a worker take his wage claims back to arbitration after the parties’ earlier attempt to resolve the dispute outside the court system failed, a federal appeals panel said.

The district court didn’t make a mistake when it lifted an arbitration stay and allowed a worker to litigate claims that Papa Texas LLC didn’t adequately reimburse drivers for pizza delivery expenses, the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit said.
