Union members at the Pantex nuclear weapons maintenance plant near Amarillo, Texas, have ratified a four-year collective bargaining agreement covering about 1,200 workers, ending a strike that lasted 37 days, a union official told Bloomberg BNA Oct. 5.
Ron Ault, president of the AFL-CIO’s Metal Trades Department, said workers ratified the contract Oct. 4 by a “very narrow margin.” Workers at the facility are represented by the Pantex Metal Trades Council, which includes 10 unions.
