A federal judge signed off on a $16.5 million settlement between PAM Transport Inc. and more than 16,000 truck drivers who said they were owed wages under Fair Labor Standards Act and Arkansas law for time spent in their trucks’ sleeper berths.
The truckers will split about $10 million after certain deductions, which represents about 40% of their potential recovery. Class counsel will receive $5.5 million in attorneys’ fees and $600,000 for costs.
