Former Southwest Regional Council of Carpentersleader Michael McCarron, and two other union members Oct. 17 dropped their lawsuit accusing the Carpenters and Joiners of America union and its leaders of establishing an illegal trusteeship over the SWRCC (McCarron v. Carpenters).
According to a document filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, McCarron voluntarily dismissed a complaint he filed Oct. 4 against the Carpenters, General President Douglas McCarron, General Vice President Douglas Banes, and Michael Draper, the council’s acting secretary-treasurer. Michael and Douglas are brothers.
