The Department of Labor inspector general has begun a review of OSHA’s handling of whistleblower complaints prompted by workplace coronavirus concerns.
The audit will focus on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s response to coronavirus-related complaints from workers and how that response affected the agency’s wider operations, such as inspections and handling of other types of whistleblower cases.
The Office of Inspector General announced the inquiry in a letter Wednesday to OSHA.
