OSHA Extends Health-Care Covid-19 Rule Hearing to Four Days

OSHA has extended to four days its online public hearing for the proposed permanent health-care Covid-19 rule, the agency said Thursday.

The “informal rulemaking hearing” had been scheduled for one day, April 27. Now the hearing will continue on April 28 and 29 and May 2.

The American Hospital Association and several unions, including the Service Employees International Union and National Nurses United, are among the groups scheduled to make presentations. The rule would require health-care employers to have safety protocols in place to treat patients with Covid-19.
