Domingos 54 Construction Inc. has been issued citations for three willful violations and one repeat violation and proposed penalties of $464,079 for alleged fall hazards, the DOL announced Tuesday.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors allegedly observed employees working atop a 15-foot-high residential roof in Tampa, Fla., without fall safety gear, the department said.
The framing contractor also allegedly still hadn’t trained employees on the means and methods to control fall hazards, according to the DOL. Inspectors also allegedly found employees still using pneumatic nail guns, hammers, and portal circular saws without required eye protection.
