OSHA Cites Filmmakers Over Train Incident That Caused One Fatality and Injured Eight

A film production company was cited for safety violations related to the death of one crew member and the injury of eight others while filming on an active railroad trestle, according to an Aug. 14 announcement from the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

OSHA cited Film Allman LLC for one alleged willful violation under Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act for failure to provide a safe workplace free from the risk of serious injury or death by working on the train trestle with no safety plan in place.
