Oracle Loses Bid to Dismiss Feds’ Hiring, Pay Bias Lawsuit

Oracle Corp. must continue to defend against Labor Department accusations that it discriminated against women and minorities in hiring and pay at its California headquarters.

A DOL administrative law judge rejected the Silicon Valley giant’s attempt to dismiss the case based on arguments that no in-house agency judge could hear the case because none were properly appointed.

The ruling means the case—which has been paused for more than a year while the company and the DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs tried unsuccessfully to reach a settlement—will move forward. The judge ordered Oracle and the OFCCP to participate in ...
