OpenAI Sues Owner of ‘open.ai’ Domain for Trademark Infringement

OpenAI Inc. filed a lawsuit against a company using the name “Open Artificial Intelligence” that owns the domain name www.open.ai, alleging the name infringes OpenAI’s trademarks and has caused consumer confusion.

The complaint claimed that Open Artificial Intelligence and its president Guy Ravine are deceiving consumers into believing the company is connected to OpenAI and its popular products such as ChatGPT.
