OnTrac Accused of Misclassifying Delivery Drivers in Wage Suit

West Coast shipping company OnTrac faces a new federal lawsuit in California alleging it deliberately misclassified thousands of delivery drivers as independent contractors, instead of employees, to cheat them out of wages, breaks, expenses, and benefits.

The proposed class action was filed by Renee Morgan and Jehanzeb Khan, who worked as last-mile delivery drivers out of an OnTrac facility in Petaluma, Calif., on behalf of similarly situated workers under the Fair Labor Standards Act and California labor law.
