Oil and Gas Contractor Loses Worker Safety Appeal at DC Circuit

An oil and gas service contractor came up short in its federal appeals court bid to avoid liability for its role in an accident that injured one of its workers and killed two others employed by other companies.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia upheld on Friday an Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission administrative law judge’s decision that TCP Specialists LLC ran afoul of federal worker safety law for not protecting its employees from a serious risk.
