Ohio Court Gains Dismissal of Ex-Judge’s Age Bias Lawsuit (1)

A former magistrate judge in Ohio failed to convince a federal court to keep her age discrimination claims alleging she was pushed off the bench without cause and replaced by a younger woman.

Judge Walter H. Rice of the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio dismissed with prejudice Georganne Huber’s claims against Darke County Court of Common Pleas, finding that the federal Age Discrimination in Employment Act doesn’t effectively abolish states’ sovereign immunity over such suits.
