Office Depot Nabs Reprieve in California Worker’s Wage Lawsuit

Office Depot is free for now of a lawsuit alleging it ran afoul of California wage-and-hour statutes, but a federal judge gave the worker who sued “one final chance” to amend his complaint.

The worker didn’t provide enough detail about the weeks Office Depot allegedly stiffed him on overtime and minimum wage payments, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said. He also failed to specifically identify times where the office supply chain deprived him of a rest or meal break, the Monday order said.
