Obese Bus Driver Fails With Disability Harassment Claim

An obese Coach USA driver can’t show he was subjected to a hostile work environment because he was perceived to be disabled, a New Jersey appeals court ruled.

Corey Dickson sued after he was benched following a Department of Transportation medical exam that concluded he was unfit to drive. The DOT medical examiner found that Dickson, who weighed between 500 and 600 pounds, may have sleep apnea and mobility and heart issues.
