A consortium of conservative states sued to block a Biden administration move to extend federally subsidized health insurance to undocumented immigrants who arrived in the US as children.
Attorneys general from 16 states, including Kansas, Ohio, and Virginia, filed a complaint Thursday in the US District Court for the District of North Dakota alleging a Department of Health and Human Services final rule modifying the definition of who is considered “lawfully present” in the US, and thus eligible to buy insurance under the Affordable Care Act, violated both the Administrative Procedure Act and Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act. ...
