NYPD Officers Sue City, Businesses Over Private Detail Wages (1)

New York City, its police department, and a host of companies including Apple Inc. and Target Corp. were sued in federal court Thursday by officers who said they weren’t timely paid proper wages for private security services.

NYPD’s Paid Police Detail allows businesses to employ uniformed police officers, the plaintiffs said in their complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. But they said that it took weeks to get their paychecks, if at all.

Other defendants include New York Yankees LP, MSG Entertainment Holdings LLC, Bank of America Corp., and area hospitals. ...
