N.Y. Papa John’s Franchisee Gets Jail Time in Wage Case

The owner of a Papa John’s fast-food restaurant franchise in New York City has been sentenced to 60 days in jail and ordered to pay $230,000 in restitution to workers for criminal offenses related to wage violations, state Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman (D) announced Nov. 16 (People v. BMY Foods Inc.sentencing

Appearing before Justice Steven Barrett of the state Supreme Court in Bronx County, defendant Jamil Khokhar, the owner of BMY Foods Inc., was sentenced according to the terms of a plea agreement reached in July.
