New guidance is going to nursing homes about preventing improper social media postings by employees, including abusive and exploitative photos.
The training document from the American Health Care Association comes as a senator is pressing social media companies for answers about what they’re doing to prevent use of their platforms to post exploitative images of nursing home residents.
Greg Crist, senior vice president with the AHCA, told Bloomberg BNA June 13 that the new training kit has guidelines on how nursing homes can address issues around social media use.
