Healthcare Services Group will pay monetary damages to a woman employed as a “light housekeeper” at a California nursing home for prohibiting her from speaking her native language of Spanish while in the workplace, the EEOC said Wednesday.
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigators found evidence confirming that the woman’s employer maintained a limited “English only” rule.
