Nucor to Pay $22.5M in Race Bias Charges at Steel Plant

Nucor Corp. will pay $22.5 million to settle charges that it subjected a group of black employees to discrimination and a hostile work environment at its Huger, S.C., steel mill.

The final nod by Judge David Norton of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina ends several years of litigation that spanned allegations in several states and went all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court.
