Novo, Gates and Wellcome Charities in $300 Million Health Pledge

The world’s three biggest charitable foundations are joining forces on a $300 million project to address global health topics ranging from climate change to nutrition and superbugs.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Wellcome will each commit $100 million to the project, the charities said in a joint statement on Monday. Planned to last at least three years, the partnership may be extended if it’s successful, Novo foundation Chief Executive Officer Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen said.
