Northwestern Football Players’ Case Stirred Helpful ‘Hornets’ Nest,’ CAPA Attorney Says

The Northwestern University football players who formed a labor organization seeking to unionize deserve “great credit” for helping to bring attention to the need for change in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the counsel for the College Athletes Players Association said April 17.

“We have stirred up a hornets’ nest,” John Adam, of Royal Oak, Mich.-based Legghio & Israel PC, said at a dinner sponsored by the Detroit area chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
