White House Seeks to Cut Protections for Service Contract Staff

The White House is reviewing a regulation that would scrap job protections for federal employees working under service contracts.

The Office of Management and Budget received a final rule (RIN: 1235-AA45) that would cancel requirements for federal contractors to provide a right of first refusal to current employees when they take over a federal service contract if those staff would lose their jobs as a result of the new contract.
