NLRB’s Democrat Not Part of Process for Possible New Union Rule

The National Labor Relations Board’s Republican members are apparently weighing a new regulation without the input of the board’s sole Democratic member.

The board’s majority is considering plans to develop a regulation to govern workers’ rights to engage in union activities on employers’ private property, Chairman John Ring and Member William Emanuel said during a panel discussion at a Feb. 27 American Bar Association meeting in Santa Monica, Calif. Ring and Emanuel are Republicans who were nominated by President Donald Trump.
