NLRB Poised to Regain Quorum Thanks to Expanded Senate Slate

Senate Republicans added another National Labor Relations Board nominee to its package of candidates for a mass confirmation vote, setting the stage for the board to regain its operating quorum.

Boeing Co. chief labor counsel Scott Mayer joined an expanded nominee slate Thursday that had already included James Murphy, a former NLRB attorney who came out of retirement to become a board member, and Crystal Carey, a Morgan, Lewis, & Bockius LLP lawyer tapped to be the agency’s general counsel.
