NLRB Official Tosses Request to Oust Union at N.Y. Starbucks (1)

A petition seeking to oust the union at a Starbucks Corp. cafe in Buffalo, N.Y., was dismissed May 26 after a National Labor Relations Board official determined that labor charges against the company were sufficient to halt the decertification process.

NLRB Regional Director Linda Leslie said that dozens of unfair labor practice charges lodged by Starbucks Workers United against the coffee giant were enough to toss the decertification petition, which was filed in late April for a downtown Buffalo store known as the “Del-Chip” cafe. The location was the sixth Buffalo-area Starbucks store to organize in April 2022.
