The National Labor Relations Board finalized another set of changes to its framework for union elections, amending three policies that affect how workers choose whether to be represented by unions.
The NLRB effectively eliminated its controversial “blocking charge” policy such that elections won’t be put on hold by pending unfair labor practice charges. Instead, the agency will either count or impound ballots depending on the type of allegation, then certify the election results after the charges are resolved.
