The National Labor Relations Board ruled Jan. 6 that it doesn’t have jurisdiction over a labor dispute involving workers at O’Hare International Airport, wiping out an administrative law judge’s prior ruling against several companies.
The NLRB dismissed a complaint alleging Oxford Airport Technical Services and three other companies interfered with mechanics and other workers’ rights to bargain collectively with an International Union of Operating Engineers affiliate as their representative. The board similarly dismissed allegations that a Transportation Workers of America affiliate was also interfering.
