NLRB Boosts Public Outreach, Breaking With Trump-Era Limits

The National Labor Relations Board’s legal arm issued a directive emphasizing the importance of staffers engaging with the public on labor law issues, moving the agency even further away from its Trump-era limitations on outreach.

The general counsel’s office memorandum features “suggestions and best practices for reinvigorating and expanding” outreach activities. It contains a list of a dozen tips for engaging with people unfamiliar with labor law, such as connecting with legal aid and pro bono clinics, advertising in local publications and foreign language newspapers, and contacting schools to participate in job fairs.
