NJ Transit Touts Deal With Worker Union; Engineer Talks Ongoing

NJ Transit and the Amalgamated Transit Union reached a tentative contract agreement, according to a statement viewed by Bloomberg. The union represents operators, clerical workers, mechanics and other transit workers. A separate union that represents NJ Transit engineers are also in an unrelated labor dispute that may result in a strike as soon as May 16.
