NJ Says Employers Can Be Sued by Out-of-State Workers for Bias

Remote workers logging on for New Jersey companies can sue under the state’s expansive Law Against Discrimination regardless of where those employees live, the state said in guidance issued Tuesday.

New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin (D) announced that his office is adopting a federal court interpretation of the state’s law which holds that state borders can’t block discrimination suits against New Jersey companies.
