Nissan Ex-Worker’s Age Bias, Retaliation Claims Filed Too Late

A former Nissan North America Inc. worker waited too long to pursue claims that the automaker and a loan financing subsidiary laid him off and refused to hire him for other roles because of his age.

The ex-financial services manager didn’t file his required Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charge until one week after the latest possible deadline, so his Age Discrimination in Employment Act bias and retaliation claims are all untimely, the US District Court for the District of Arizona said Wednesday.
