The National Football League signed a $75,000 settlement with nine former security personnel who said they were denied overtime pay because the league improperly treated them as independent contractors, according to court papers filed in a Manhattan federal court.
The deal provides the nine plaintiffs with individual payments ranging between $2,000 and $11,000 to resolve their claims under federal wage-and-hour law. It includes $15,000 in attorneys’ fees for their lawyers at Pryor Cashman LLP.
