NFL Asks Court to Move Black Coaches’ Racism Suit to Arbitration

The National Football League asked a federal judge to force former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and two other Black coaches to privately arbitrate their claims of systemic racism in hiring for management positions.

In a court filing late Tuesday in Manhattan federal court, the NFL said the coaches’ contracts with their teams and the league all required that such disputes be handled by arbitration rather than through a lawsuit.
