Newseum Settles Female Former Executive’s Pay, Sex Bias Lawsuit

The Newseum in Washington, D.C., and its female former senior director of operations agreed to dismiss her lawsuit alleging she was paid less than her male counterparts and terminated because of her sex, federal court records showed.

Donna Baker-Notter and Freedom Forum Inc., a nonprofit that ran the Newseum, filed a joint stipulation of dismissal with the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday. The case has “been fully resolved by an arms-length agreement between the parties,” the filing said.

The settlement was reached through mediation, according to an Aug. 22 status report filed with the court. ...
