A New York Times senior staff editor is trying to intervene in a lawsuit the EEOC recently filed on his behalf claiming discrimination against White male workers prevented him from getting a new job within the company.
Bryant Rousseau also asks to add claims under New York city and state human rights laws as well as under Section 1981 of the 1866 Civil Rights Act.
He “seeks relief beyond that sought by the EEOC, including uncapped compensatory and punitive damages,” according to a motion filed May 15 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
