New York Requires Employers to Provide Covid Worker Protections

Employers in New York State will be required to implement safety standards to help shield their workers from the coronavirus, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Monday.

The state Department of Health designated Covid-19 a “highly contagious communicable disease that presents a serious risk of harm to the public health,” under the state’s new labor law known as the New York HERO Act.
