A commercial laundry and linen rental company must bargain with the union that it waged an unlawful campaign to banish, the National Labor Relations Board ruled.
Century Linen & Uniform Inc. committed a slew of unfair labor practices in its quest to remove Rochester Regional Joint Board Local 368 as the representative of workers in three of its facilities in upstate New York, the NLRB held in its Tuesday decision.
The company’s ULPs included soliciting employees to sign a decertification petition, withdrawing recognition from the union based on that tainted petition, and barring the union from its facilities.
