New York City has settled an age discrimination and retaliation lawsuit brought by a 61-year-old Brooklyn Boys and Girls High School track coach, months after the parties told the court that settlement discussions had been unsuccessful, according to a New York federal docket.
Anthony Jones was involved with the high school’s track team for 42 years without discipline before being terminated because of an incident in which he swore at a group of track team members, the city’s Department of Education told the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
