The EEOC has filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against the New York Beer Project, the agency said Wednesday.
The Victor, N.Y.-based brewery and beer hall allegedly violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by firing one bartender who was diagnosed with cancer and terminating another who had a nocturnal seizure despite both getting cleared to work, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The EEOC said in its filing in the US District Court for the Western District of New York that it is seeking back pay, compensatory damages, and punitive damages for the affected employees, along with injunctive relief. ...
