New York Bill Requiring Salaries in Job Ads Awaits Governor (1)

New York employers statewide would have to provide a pay range in job ads under legislation headed to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s desk.

The bill, S9427, would impose salary disclosure requirements similar to recently enacted laws in New York City and Washington state—part of a movement toward broader wage transparency measures aimed at promoting pay equity.
