New Wave of Workplace Harassment Lawsuits Filed by EEOC (1)

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission continued its push to rid American workplaces of illegal harassment, suing five more employers and settling an earlier lawsuit.

The federal job rights watchdog has made the elimination of sexual and other workplace harassment one of its top enforcement priorities. At a June 20, 2016, public meeting, an EEOC task force released a report on the troubling extent of sex-based, race-based, and other abuse many American workers continue to face more than 30 years after the U.S. Supreme Court first found that harassment is a form of illegal workplace bias.
