International Students Face Growing Barriers Despite Court Wins

After international students secured a series of court wins protecting their status in the US, the Trump administration has added a slate of new barriers to foreign enrollment at US colleges and universities.

The State Department paused student visa interviews indefinitely while it adopts a new policy for screening applicants’ social media profiles. Secretary of State Marco Rubio meanwhile announced plans to “aggressively” revoke the visas of Chinese national students.
