New Measures to Preserve DACA Coming Soon, USCIS Official Says

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is working on a new rulemaking to preserve the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program pending the outcome of litigation.

“The program continues as is until litigation issues are resolved,” USCIS Chief of Staff Felicia Escobar Carrillo said at a Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc. event Monday. Since December the agency has been processing initial applications, renewals, and requests for advanced parole, she said.
