New Jersey Roofing Contractor Fined $328,000 for Fall Hazards

A New Jersey construction contractor was fined $328,545 and cited for exposing employees to falls from elevations, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced Tuesday.

According to OSHA, inspectors visited a RRC Home Improvement worksite in June after receiving reports of employees working on a roof without fall protection. A month after warning the company about the hazard, inspectors opened inspections at two other RRC worksites in July. Again, inspectors observed employees working without required fall protection.
