New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Law Inked by Governor

Employers in New Jersey must give workers up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year under legislation Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed May 2.

“This is not just about doing what’s right for workers and their families. This is about doing the right thing for our economy,” Murphy said before signing the bill, adding that it was “both the right thing and smart thing to do.”
