New Democratic EEOC Chair Ditches Two Trump-Era Pilot Programs

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission scrapped two Republican-backed pilot programs that temporarily altered how the agency sought to resolve bias allegations before pursuing litigation.

Democratic EEOC Chair Charlotte Burrows, who was elevated to the top job after President Joe Biden took office, announced the changes Wednesday evening, saying that “some of the practices the agency has found useful over the past several months” will be retained in the EEOC’s permanent alternative resolution programs.
